Kaitlyn Hawley ‘16 Research Topic: The Nine Days
Queen, Lady Jane Gray Favorite Food: Ice Cream and Spam Favorite Color: Yellow Is looking forward to the Tower
of London, and Canterbury Cathedral,
This trip was the chance of a lifetime for me and I still feel incredibly blessed to have had this opportunity. As a history major not only did this trip allow me to be immersed in some of the most historical sites the world has to offer, but it also gave me a chance to further my education in a hands-on way. Visiting places like Hampton Court Palace, Holyrood Palace, the Tower, and Westminster Abbey were absolutely surreal experiences for me and my favorite places because my focus of study is Tudor England. This trip left me totally exhausted and at times I wasn't sure how my body kept going, but then I would see something amazing or learn something incredible and I would be reminded that it was all worth it and more. Spending my 20th birthday on this trip was also a wonderful experience and I thank everyone for making my day all the more special.
