Dublin April 30th

April 30th: Today was one of the exciting days. We visited the Kilmainham Goal and the Guinness Storehouse. We got a guided tour of the Kilmainhom Goal, which gave an amazing insight into the history of the jail.  We got to stand in the old and new versions of cells and got to into the execution yard. This was a historic place in that it was where the horrendous execution of James Connolly happened.  His execution was the major turning point in Irish culture which put an end to the heinous punishments and executions in the jail.
