May 14th
Our last major travel day, and it’s a busy one!!! We made our way to York where we got to
wonder through the York Castle Museum, which was set up to feel like you were
part of the exhibit not just looking at one, that was totally cool and a much
needed change of pace from our normal museum tours. We got to walk through a
recreation of Victorian England, and got to experience a special exhibition of
the 60’s and of Toy Stories. We also
visited York Minster, and got to examine the undercroft of the church as well
as a World War 2 Memorial. Our day ended with the play Bring Up the Bodies, which was the story of the event that led up
to the death of Anne Boleyn told from the point of view of Thomas Cromwell, the
right hand servant of Henry VIII. It was an awesome day filled with awesome
experiences. Travel Marathon COMPLETE!!!
